1. Red Rocket [Blu-ray] (2021)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: As a quirky character comedy, Red Rocket occasionally spurts to life. Unfortunately, too much of the movie lacks purpose and feels self-indulgent. Starring Simon Rex, Bree Elrod. Lionsgate, $21.99, 3/15/2022.

2. Scars of Dracula [Blu-Ray] (1970)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: When you go into Scars of Dracula, you shouldn’t expect anything fresh from the characters. Nonetheless, it offers a quality project that compensates for its lack of originality with solid pacing and a general sense of suspense. Starring Christopher Lee, Dennis Waterman. Shout, $26.99, 9/10/2019.

3. Land Of The Dead: Unrated Director's Cut (2005)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A pretty spry zombie flick, Land of the Dead digs into its subject well. The movie doesn’t excel at much, but it delivers an entertainingly nasty and violent experience. Written and Directed By George A. Romero. Universal, $29.98, 10/18/2005.

4. An American Werewolf in London: Collector's Edition [Blu-Ray] (1981)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: While it doesn’t match up with classic horror films, An American Werewolf In London still provides a nicely entertaining combination of scares and laughs. The movie combines two genres into a fairly effective package that still works well after more than three decades. Starring David Naughton, Griffin Dunne. Arrow, $49.95, 10/29/2019.

8. The Devil Rides Out [Blu-Ray] (1968)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Apparently The Devil Rides Out enjoys a good reputation among genre fans, but I can’t quite figure out why. 9. Margin Call [Blu-Ray] (2011)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: With a surprisingly human tone, Margin Call delivers a fairly involving take on the recent financial crisis. It lacks immense bite and can seem a little undramatic at times, but I like the manner in which it personalizes the issues. The Blu-ray comes with very good picture and acceptable audio; supplements aren’t exceptional, but the commentary adds valu

10. The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (Extended Edition) [Blu-Ray] (2002)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: The Two Towers doesn’t feel as engrossing as its predecessor, but that’s almost inevitable given its spot as the middle chapter of a trilogy. It’s still an excellent movie that continues the tale well. The Blu-ray adds 44 minutes of mostly useful and entertaining material that serves to make the film even stronger than its Oscar-nominated theatrical cut.
